These chicken halves come from a local grower and are a cross of cornish and rock breeds. They are raised on pasture in bottomless pens that are moved daily. They also receive whole grains but no hormones or antibiotics. They always have access to grass and fresh water. This healthy addition to your diet should be cooked “slow and low” because grass fed chickens produce lean meat that is very dense yet tender, juicy, and flavorful. We recommend roasting at 275 degrees Fahrenheit, grilling, or cooking in a crock pot on a low setting. Enjoy! |
