The average cost of a 1/2 hog, cut, wrapped, and frozen to your specifications is approximately $260.00. Hogs are sold by net weight. That means you are charged $3.99/lb. on the actual weight you take home. A 1/2 hog will yield about 65 lbs. of meat. This includes smoked hams and bacons. A 1/2 hog standard cut includes the following:
Approximately 26 Pork Chops @ 3/4” thick
Loin Roast(s) You may leave some of your pork chops as roasts.
8 Pork Steaks
2 @ 3 lb. Bone-in Shoulder Roasts
1 Rack of Spareribs
15 lbs. of Sausage – Choose from Breakfast, Sweet Breakfast, Mild Italian, or Hot Italian in patties or links
12 lbs. of Smoked or Fresh Ham cut into Roast(s) or Slices
5 lbs. Bacon or Side pork
